Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Data Center Engineer - TS/SCI CI Poly in Reston, VA to work onsite in the SCIF. Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and 5+ years in systems and network engineering are required.

You will support LAN/WAN, security, and enterprise data networks; experience with EIGRP, BGP, SD-WAN, MPLS, Cisco routers/switches, Linux and Windows, and VMware is expected. Salary ranges from $130,000 to $170,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
• 5+ years of systems and network administration/engineering experience.
• Experience with WAN/LAN, firewalls, Cisco routers/switches.
• Deep knowledge of route-switch protocols (EIGRP, BGP) and SD-WAN/MPLS.
• Proficient in Linux and Windows; VMware experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, troubleshoot, and manage network activity for large enterprise data networks.
• Work closely with other engineers to support customer project requests.
• Provide high level technical expertise to support LAN and WAN.
• Offer recommendations for improving network and systems performance, efficiency, and security.
