Job summary

Libman is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their on-site team in Arcola, IL. The role focuses on inventory costing, BOM updates, and price setting, with regular interaction with IT and accounting for accuracy and efficiency.

The candidate will manage material, labor, and overhead costs for production, ensuring standard costs are kept current and aligned with inventory records. Responsibilities include updating cost sheets, performing physical inventories, and supporting month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with five years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of income tax basis rules and freight costing incl. duties.

Responsibilities

• Compute and update material costs daily based on supplier prices and freight charges.
• Prepare inventory costing sheets for book and tax reporting.
• Manage month-end close related to inventory and reconcile variances.
