Job summary

Elior North America, on behalf of Elior Collegiate Dining, is seeking a Catering Manager at West Virginia Wesleyan College. You’ll plan, coordinate and execute catering events, work with clients, culinary teams and vendors to provide outstanding service.

This role requires strong organization, a client-focused approach, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, with onsite event support and inventory management.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in catering, food and beverage, events or related field.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Safe Food Handler’s Certification (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of catering events from start to finish, including logistics, setup, and teardown.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, customizing orders, and ensuring that all event details align with client expectations.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules for catering orders, event rentals, and any additional materials required.
• Work with the culinary and operations teams to ensure all orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
• Maintain a master calendar of events and deadlines, attending pre-event meetings and communicating event details to all relevant parties.
• Liaise with external vendors to arrange equipment, rentals, and other necessary services to support successful event execution.
• Provide on-site assistance during events, ensuring seamless execution and promptly addressing any last-minute issues.
• Manage catering supplies, equipment, and materials to ensure sufficient inventory levels for upcoming events.
• Ensure all food and services meet company standards for quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
