Job summary

One World Global Services is seeking a Cambodian/Khmer US-Based Interpreter to provide VRI and onsite interpretation across medical and educational settings, enabling individuals to advocate for their needs.

The role requires at least 1 year of interpretation experience, fluency in Cambodian/Khmer and English, and adherence to the NCIHC Code of Ethics. Candidates should have strong computer skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year interpretation experience.
• Effectively interpret between Cambodian/Khmer and English and vice versa.
• Adhere to guidelines for NCIHC Code of Ethics / Standards of Practice
• Accurately complete assigned tasks/duties and paperwork promptly
• Possess the ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies
• Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, highly regulated environment
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to complete additional duties and assignments on an ongoing basis
• Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, electronic scheduling and internet
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services in both VRI and onsite settings.

We are currently looking for both VRI and Onsite US-Based Cambodian/Khmer interpreter. An Onsite Cambodian/Khmer interpreter will provide interpretation services in a variety of settings, including medical, education, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and their needs.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Minimum1 year interpretation experience
• Effectively interpret between Cambodian/Khmerand English and vice versa
• Adhere to guidelines for NCIHC Code of Ethics / Standards of Practice
• Accurately complete assigned tasks/duties, projects and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines
• Possess the ability to quickly learn and implement new and changing technologies
• Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic, highly regulated environment
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to complete additional duties and assignments on an on-going basis
• Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, electronic scheduling and internet
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team

VRI Requirements:

• Computer or Laptop
• Windows 10 or higher
• Steady wired internet connection
• At a minimum, download speeds of 20 Mbps and upload speeds of 10 Mbps
• Webcam
• USB wired headset
• Backdrop; use a contrasting, solid color like royal blue, charcoal, or bright green.
