CalibrationTechnician – Onsite/Field (100% Travel)
JMTest Systems is looking for a Field Calibration Technician for a 100% mobile,onsite role servicing South Central, Southern, and Gulf Coast Texas region.You'll travel to customer sites across the region to calibrate, repair, andcertify test instruments, applying measurement science principles to ensureaccuracy in electrical, dimensional, physical, mechanical, and/or opticaldisciplines. This is a road-centric position: you'll be on-site with customersthe vast majority of the year, working independently with support from onsitemanagers and administrative staff.

Whatto Expect
- Travel isthe core of this job: the goal is 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year (minusPTO and holidays)
- Overnightstays required
- Thisschedule is not occasional; it's the standing expectation of the role, sogenuine flexibility to travel extensively is a must
- Initialtraining at the Wichita/Clute Lab and onboarding will prepare you foronsite work, then you'll work closely with onsite managers andadministrative staff for day-to-day direction and scheduling (estimated 6weeks of training).
WhatYou'll Do
- Receive jobassignments and determine priorities and details for each site visit
- Assess testinstrument condition and diagnose service requirements
- Cleaninstruments in accordance with code specifications and sensitivityrequirements
- Research anddevelop calibration procedures and methods per technical specifications,blueprints, and drawings
- Collect,compile, and record accurate calibration data for all recordkeepingrequirements
- Analyzemeasurement data to identify abnormalities or out-of-tolerance conditionsand perform corrective actions (adjustments, component replacement,correction factors, etc.)
- Certify testinstruments by verifying they meet performance standards
- Document allmeasurements, certifications, and calibration reports for return to thecustomer
- Complete allservice documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Represent JMTest Systems professionally while providing excellent customer service
WhatYou'll Need
- High schooldiploma or GED required; Associate's degree, technical trade school, ormilitary training in measurement science, calibration, or a related fieldpreferred
- Ability toperform general math, algebra, and statistical equations
- Basiccomputer and software application skills
- Ability toread, interpret, and apply calibration procedures
- Ability to establish priorities and work independently with limited supervision
- Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills
- Ability tolift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability towork indoors/outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions
- Ability tosit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs
- Willingnessand ability to travel extensively as described above
