Job summary

LINX in Denver, CO seeks a CAD Technician I for the Security Division. This onsite role focuses on producing detailed CAD drawings for CCTV, access control, and IP-based security systems in commercial environments.

You will use AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Excel daily and collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver precise shop and as-built drawings. The ideal candidate has CAD drafting experience and an associate degree or related coursework, plus familiarity with building drawings and

Qualifications

Associate degree, technical certificate, or coursework in CAD, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Internship, apprenticeship, or hands-on CAD drafting experience in a business environment
Proficiency in AutoCAD; able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Familiarity with commercial building drawings, floor plans, and construction documentation

Responsibilities

Create and revise 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD/Bluebeam)
Interpret sketches and specifications to produce accurate drawings
Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
Assist with design changes and updates based on feedback
Ensure drawings comply with standards and regulations
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure timely delivery
Document CCTV, access control, and IP camera configurations for commercial sites
