Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Automation Support Technician to serve as the primary operational support resource for automated equipment, robotics systems, and automation software in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, system health monitoring, preventive maintenance, user support, and cross-team communication to sustain daily operations.

Qualifications

Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment or manufacturing systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to handle complex machinery.
Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose equipment and software issues.
Comfort with robotics, electrical systems, PLCs, and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Support daily operation of automated equipment and robotics in the facility.
Troubleshoot equipment, software, and process issues to restore operations.
Respond to disruptions, diagnose root causes, and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
Monitor system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on automation systems.
Document issues and actions clearly and promptly.
Assist deployment, testing, and adoption of new automation technologies.
Train end users on system functionality and procedures.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Logistics to improve reliability.
Provide excellent internal customer support with clear communication.
Work on the production floor to support automated systems and conveyors.
Participate in shift-based support across multiple shifts.
