Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer for the Broomfield, CO site. You will partner with Product Engineers, Quality, Planning, and Production Leaders to improve and sustain production processes and support the manufacturing strategy. This is an onsite role reporting to the Sr.

Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering. You will analyze processes, design and test solutions, and help resolve component-level quality and efficiency issues while preparing manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Safety and Lean Continuous Improvement.
• Familiar with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
• Ability to collaborate with Design engineers, program managers, manufacturing leads, and functional leads.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of solid modeling and Tool/Fixture Design; Experience with Oracle and Agile.
• Familiarity with Product Engineering, Product Design Reviews and ECR/ECO systems, BOM structure and Engineering Documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing systems and processes and identify value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challenges.
• Conceive, design, develop, and test innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
• Contribute to resolving quality and efficiency issues at the component level.
• Implementation and Control of Manufacturing Documents (Work Instructions, Tool Drawings, Process Drawings, etc.).
• Estimate manufacturing cost, review/update time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
• Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards.
• Uphold the company's reputation by delivering innovative solutions while adhering to local and national regulations.
