Job summary

Themesoft Inc is seeking a Sr. Data Platform Architect to join our Austin, TX project team. You will design, build, and operate data platforms on Alibaba Cloud, enabling data-driven decisions across multiple business units.

Proficiency in SQL and big data tooling, plus experience with Python/Scala/Java and distributed systems, is essential. You will collaborate with Data Science, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable data pipelines, real-time streaming, and secure cloud networking

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud data services.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms on Alibaba Cloud.
• Strong SQL and experience with big data technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data engineering.
• Experience with distributed systems and data processing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Linux environments (RHEL preferred).
• Exposure to real-time data streaming (Kafka, Flink) and data analytics (Spark, Airflow).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
• Experience with cloud networking and security on Alicloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (Terraform, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on implementation of Alibaba Cloud data services for platforms.
