Job summary

Suffolk Construction Company, Inc. in Temple, TX is seeking an on‑site Site AI Engineer to turn AI ideas into deployed solutions on active project sites.

You will partner with project AI Champions to redesign workflows and deploy AI agents that enhance reporting, RFIs, lookahead planning, progress updates, and materials tracking. Responsibilities include enterprise‑grade engineering, LLMOps, data integrations, and cross‑cloud orchestration to support daily operations and ROI goals.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years in AI engineering or related fields with production LLM/RAG/agentic work.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering/physics; Master’s preferred.
• Hands-on construction or heavy process industry experience is a plus.
• Lean/Six Sigma exposure and change-management support is helpful.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills; travel-ready.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions to map value streams and log AI use cases.
• Assess workflows and data maturity; plan phased improvements with Ops Excellence.
• Evaluate market tools; run pilots, measure impact, and scale wins.
• Build MVP AI agents in AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, and ChatGPT Enterprise.
• Develop RAG pipelines, automate with CI/CD, and ensure security compliance.
• Design ETL/data integrations and coordinate with Data Eng for pipelines.
• Train crews, gather feedback, and track adoption and ROI metrics.
• Communicate impact to leadership and clients; enable enterprise rollout.
