Job summary

Cognizant is hiring an Agentic AI Engineer in Louisville, KY, to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI agents and agentic systems using LLMs. You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions.

We’re seeking 8+ years of software/AI experience, strong Python skills, hands-on LangChain and LangGraph, and deployment experience in AWS/Azure/GCP with Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software/AI engineering or related tech roles.
• Strong experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and agentic frameworks.
• Hands-on LangChain and LangGraph for agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build autonomous AI agents capable of reasoning and multi-step tasks.
• Create agentic workflows and multi-agent systems with stateful execution.
• Develop RAG, tool-calling, and function-calling solutions.
• Integrate AI agents with APIs, databases, and vector stores.
• Implement memory frameworks for intelligent agent behavior.
• Optimize prompts and LLM performance for accuracy and cost.
• Establish guardrails and human-in-the-loop workflows for safety.
• Deploy AI apps to production using AWS/Azure/GCP with Docker/Kubernetes.
