Maymont Homes is seeking an Accounting Intern for Summer 2027 in Charleston, SC. The internship offers hands-on experience in corporate accounting, GAAP application, and reporting within a growing, Brookfield-backed company.

As an undergraduate pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, you will assist with reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR tasks, and financial data analysis under supervision. Strong Excel skills, communication, and detail orientation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of GAAP and financial practices.
• Familiarity with accounting software or financial systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in applying GAAP to analyze financial information and reconcile accounts.
• Record deposits and apply resident payments in the financial system.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare journal entries under supervision and assist with financial reporting.
