Job summary

The Counseling Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks an Academic Hourly Clinical Counselor to provide individual and couples counseling, assessments, and crisis triage. The role may include group work and supervision of practicum students as needed.

On-site, up to 24 hours per week, 0% FTE, with a budgeted pay rate of $50–$55 per hour. Minimum qualifications include a professional doctoral or master's degree and Illinois licensure.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or MSW or Counseling required.
• Must hold Illinois professional licensure: LC PC, LC SW, LMFT, or LPC.
• Bilingual English and Mandarin or Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide time-limited counseling for individuals and couples.
• Conduct initial intakes and assessments.
• Document provision of clinical services.
• Manage clinical crises and provide triage services.
• Participate in psychological emergency and trauma response.
• Other duties as assigned.
