Job summary

MS Directional is seeking a Well Planner II to support the Directional Department in planning, development, and execution of onshore directional drilling activities. You will collaborate with Engineers and Geologists to calculate trajectories using Landmark COMPASS and other software to meet customer objectives.

The role reports to the Well Planning Manager; responsibilities include data gathering, report preparation, and maintaining documentation and databases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of well planning experience for onshore wells.
• Landmark COMPASS or equivalent planning software experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather and interpret data to calculate well plans.
• Prepare plan reports, anti-collision reports, and wall plots.
• Prepare daily PVA reports and End of Well reports.
• Update databases to ensure consistency across departments.
• Record and archive customer documentation and correspondence.
• Maintain job logs and daily tracking databases.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Work independently and prioritize time to meet deadlines.
• Perform other relevant projects as needed.
