Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks an online full-time faculty member to teach Social Work, delivering course content with innovative pedagogy and current industry trends reflecting advancements in the discipline.

You will also have the opportunity to work with online student populations, provide timely feedback, and contribute to curriculum design and licensure path development while staying current through ongoing professional development and research.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Two years of post-master’s social work degree practice experience.
• Two years of instructional experience in social work at the post-secondary level.
• Familiarity with web-enhanced instructional tools such as Angel/Blackboard/WebCT/Halo.
• Ability to articulate a clear understanding of values-based education from a Christian perspective.

Responsibilities

• Teach social work courses in varying class sizes and assist students in achieving course objectives and learning outcomes.
• Assist students outside the online classroom during office hours and provide qualitative feedback on grades.
• Assist in the design of licensure path programs in social work and participate in curriculum design & development.
• Actively participate on college and/or University committees and in professional development activities.
• May participate in research activities and data collection/analysis and other administrative tasks.
