Job summary

Pacific Oaks College invites online adjunct faculty to join the BSW program for the 2024/2025 academic year. Courses are online and asynchronous, with fully built curricula; adjuncts are not responsible for creating syllabi or curriculum.

We seek scholarly and practical experts to teach BSW courses across tracks (part-time, full-time, Advanced Standing). The role supports culturally responsive, inclusive instruction with CSWE competencies and DEI integration, using Canvas and other online tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited institution is required.
• PhD in Social Work or closely related field and/or LCSW credential is preferred.
• Experience teaching online is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned BSW courses through online instruction with high quality teaching.
• Respond promptly to student inquiries and provide guidance.
• Maintain timely communication with department regarding student progress.
• Submit grades by established deadlines.
• Develop proficiency in Canvas and other LMS tools.
• Attend BSW adjunct faculty meetings each semester.
