Job summary

ShopRite of WHARTON in New Jersey seeks an Online Shopping Clerk to accurately select, bag, and process customer orders from the ShopRite website. You will interact with customers, handle payments, and ensure orders are packed and delivered or ready for pickup.

The role emphasizes friendly service, knowledge of products, and adherence to safety and QA standards. Successful candidates will lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures while ensuring accurate pricing

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Ability to work with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

Selecting: identify products, pick top quality perishable items, substitute items as needed and communicate with customers.
Consolidating: bag orders safely, prepare workspace, merge totes for customer pickup or delivery.
Exporting: process payments (cash, credit, checks, EBT, etc.), handle cash and provide correct change, operate cash register if applicable.
General: greet customers, know store products, maintain safe, clean work environment, follow safety and QA standards.
