Job summary

Liberty University is seeking an Undergraduate Pre-Law Adjunct in the Helms School of Government. This online role teaches foundational law concepts, emphasizing logic, constitutional law, and legal reasoning from a Christian worldview, with courses designed to prep for the LSAT.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction, mentoring students, and completing administrative duties. This is a part-time remote position with an instructional mentor supervising.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strengths in teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate level.
• Appropriate mentoring and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills that facilitate the completion of assignments and tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and online Learning Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct instructional activities in accordance with university standards.
• Teach from the approved curriculum on schedule.
• Provide timely feedback on assignments and replies to student correspondence.
• Maintain and report student grades and attendance.
• Inform HSOG of availability to be assigned courses in each subterm.
• Maintain up-to-date personnel and professional data in the university’s databases.
• Conduct self-evaluations as part of the professional evaluation process.
• Monitor the HSOG Communication Center and assigned Instructional Mentor’s channel.
• Complete FERPA, Title IX, and all other assigned training on time.
• Support Subject Matter Experts and Program Directors in curriculum development and assessment.
