Job summary

The Learning Lamp in the United States seeks an Online Physics Teacher to deliver engaging physics courses aligned with district expectations. The role requires a PA Teaching Certificate in Physics and the ability to manage a virtual classroom with clear communication.

Responsibilities include previewing course content, reporting to Ignite’s admin team, providing timely feedback, maintaining weekly student communications, and ensuring student safety and well-being throughout the course term.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Physics.
• Willingness to pass required clearances and training for safety and compliance.
• Ability to establish rapport, manage classrooms, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Preview course(s) and become familiar with online content and course requirements
• Provide bi-weekly/weekly reports via email to Ignite’s administrative team by set deadlines
• Provide final grades via progress reports upon request of Ignite’s administrative team
• Respond to student communication within 24 school hours
• Contact students via platform communication tools at least once per week regarding assignments and deadlines
• Grade assignments/assessments within 48 school hours of submission
• Provide office hours for 1 hour per week per class
• Monitor assignments and assessments to ensure curriculum is delivered effectively
• Notify Ignite’s administrative team if a student is failing or not participating
• Provide feedback to Ignite’s administrative team based on teaching experience
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
