Eastern Michigan University is seeking a Part-Time Lecturer for the Business Management Marketing Technology Program. The position will start in Winter 2027 and involve teaching an online asynchronous section of Personal Finance (BMMT250) and possibly other courses depending on availability.

The successful candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Business or related area and bring professional experience in budgeting, consumer finance, and financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Arts with a concentration in Business or related area.
• Current professional experience in Microsoft Office 365 software and a strong understanding of budgeting, consumer finance, and financial decision-making.
• Professional experience in business, management, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, technology applications in business, or teaching related to the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach online asynchronous sections of Personal Finance (BMMT250) and related courses.
• Develop and maintain professional skills to ensure high-quality education for students.
• Meet with students during and outside of assigned classes, assess student work, and prepare syllabi and course materials.
• Provide copies of syllabi and course materials to supervisor on request, assign and submit grades per EMU schedules.
• Perform related departmental duties as required.
