Job summary

Texas State University is building a pool of applicants for temporary/nontenured MSN/DNP faculty to teach online in the St. David's School of Nursing. Appointments are semester-based and contingent on student demand and funding.

Open for Fall 2026 through Summer 2027, with consideration for continued opportunities as needs arise. Qualified applicants must hold Texas RN licensure, demonstrate teaching ability, and have a master's or doctoral degree in nursing; exceptions apply with BSN and

Qualifications

• Hold a current license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in Texas.
• Show evidence of teaching abilities and up-to-date clinical knowledge and safety in teaching responsibilities.
• Masters or Doctoral degree in nursing; if master's in another field, BSN with 12 graduate hours in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Teach one to four courses per semester in graduate programs as needed.
• Participate in allocation decisions based on student demand and funding.
