Job Description
Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner, paying attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, deliver and load orders to customers' cars when they arrive for pick-up. Provide a positive customer‑service experience that encourages repeat online shopping, while demonstrating Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Select and gather products for customers' online orders efficiently with attention to freshness and quality.
- Initiate and complete the selection process for customers' online orders.
- Assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver orders to customers' cars at pick‑up.
- Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
- Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers' orders at pick‑up.
- Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Receive customers' orders from the Order Selector according to guidelines and store products in optimal temperature zones.
- Read and follow directions in the note section.
- Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
- Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond to calls professionally and promptly.
- Retrieve each customer's order from all staging locations, ensure accuracy, and load it into the customer's car.
- Process orders through the point‑of‑sale system.
- Determine appropriate substitutions for out‑of‑stock items per policy.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report pricing, scanning, or item‑location discrepancies and invalid temperature alerts to the e‑commerce supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and notify superiors of items needing repair.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in training new e‑commerce team members.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflicts in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to read shelf tags.
- Basic math skills (e.g., counting, addition, subtraction).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired Previous Experience
- Any experience as a personal shopper, in a production‑oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
