Job summary

The University of Denver's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks adjunct faculty to teach online graduate courses in the Systems Engineering program. This pool posting covers multiple openings for the 2025-2026 academic year in programs such as Project Management, Fundamentals of Systems Engineering, and Model-Based Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities include delivering online instruction, course design, and student engagement, with compensation described per 4- or 3-credit

Qualifications

Master's degree required with graduate-level teaching experience.
Background in Systems engineering or related subjects.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Successful teaching/facilitation experience with graduate students.

Responsibilities

Teach online once or twice a week.
Design or adapt a course with learning outcomes, materials, and calendar.
Create and Maintain LSM/Course Canvas Container.
Assign papers, exams and other deliverables as appropriate.
Grade in a timely manner.
Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed.
Work with students and others to guarantee the best possible student experience.
Provide clear value and concise directions for students.
If requested, meet with students over Zoom or other remote platform to discuss grades, assignments and/or project status.
Support enrollment activities as needed.
