Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is seeking experienced ESL educators to teach 1:1 classes to students including Singapore and Hong Kong-based learners using the Cosmo curriculum. You set a flexible, consistent schedule and deliver 50‑minute lessons each week in a calm online classroom.

As an independent contractor, you will need a Bachelor's degree, 3 years of K‑12 ELA/ESL/EFL teaching experience, and a reliable internet connection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3 years of teaching grades K-12 in ELA/ESL/EFL.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• Fast internet and a PC/Mac with a capable CPU.
• Available 6-9 AM EST on weekdays and some weekends.
• Minimum 20 hours of weekly availability.
• Able to commit to at least 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
