My Virtual Academy seeks an Online ESL Teacher to deliver pull-out ELD instruction to K–12 students entirely online from home. A valid teaching certificate with ESL endorsement is required, with Michigan certificate preferred.

The role supports flexible schedules and aligns with student needs across the U.S., excluding Pacific Time. The program emphasizes culturally responsive instruction, progress tracking, and collaboration with educational teams, all while maintaining a remote, tech-enabled

• Collaborate with educational teams while remaining culturally responsive.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Online ESL Teacher (Remote)

Anywhere in the U.S. (excluding Pacific Time Zone) | M–F, flexible schedule aligned to student needs | Fully Remote | Starting at $24.46/hr (W-2)

Do you have a passion for supporting English learners and tailoring instruction to their individual needs — all from your home office? At My Virtual Academy, we’re looking for an Online ESL Teacher to join our Virtual English Language Instruction Program and help K–12 students find their voice in a new language and a new learning environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide pull-out English Language Development (ELD) instruction based on WIDA assessment results

Certification Requirements (Don’t Skip!)

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold a valid teaching certificate with an ESL endorsement
  • Either a Michigan Teaching Certificate with ESL Endorsement (NS)
  • OR an ESL-endorsed certificate from another state and be willing to obtain a Michigan Teaching Certificate with ESL Endorsement within 60 days of hire
• We cannot consider candidates who do not hold an ESL endorsement

Who You Are

• Experienced in teaching English Learners (virtually is a major plus!)
• Tech‑comfortable and flexible with online tools and video conferencing
• Culturally sensitive, collaborative, and organized
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Not located in the Pacific Time Zone

What Success Looks Like

• Lessons are tailored, engaging, and based on student proficiency levels
• Student schedules are met consistently with documented pull‑out sessions
• Progress is clearly documented and shared at regular intervals
• ESL students show academic growth and improved language confidence
• You maintain clear, supportive communication with students and internal teams
