Job summary

The Lecturer in the Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation, and Interpreter Training at Troy University is responsible for teaching graduate-level counseling courses in a CACREP-accredited counselor education program.

Responsibilities include course instruction, student advising and mentoring, clinical supervision of practicum and internship students, participation in curriculum development, support for student assessment and remediation processes, service to the department, and contribution

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program by the anticipated start date.
• Professional identity as a counselor educator.
• Experience in counseling, clinical supervision, or counselor education.
• Ability to support CACREP accreditation expectations, including instruction, student assessment, and clinical training.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level counseling courses in a CACREP-accredited program.
• Provide student advising and mentoring.
• Provide clinical supervision of practicum and internship students.
• Participate in curriculum development and program evaluation activities.
• Support CACREP accreditation and department service.
