OHDELA (Ohio Distance and Electronic Learning Academy) is a tuition-free K-12 online school offering a flexible, standards-aligned curriculum with 24/7 access. We seek teachers to deliver rigorous, nurturing instruction online, with occasional in-person state testing and events several times per year.

Eligibility is limited to residents of Ohio. Current Ohio teaching license and strong communication skills are required to ensure high student achievement across core content areas.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need and instructional practices.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grades daily.
• Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
