Job summary

Liberty University is seeking an Online Adjunct Faculty member in the College of Arts & Sciences to teach Astrophysics. This is a part-time, non-benefited, fully online position.

Responsibilities include teaching from the approved curriculum, providing timely feedback, advising students, and supporting retention initiatives. Applicants must hold a terminal or Master’s degree in Astrophysics and demonstrate a commitment to the university's evangelical mission.

Qualifications

• Teach material from the approved curriculum on an assigned schedule.
• Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
• Advise students on academics, attendance, and behaviors.
• Maintain student grades and attendance per university policies.
• Support retention initiatives and assist absent students.

Responsibilities

• Teach material from the approved curriculum in accordance with an assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
• Assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes.
• Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
• Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and by getting in touch with and offering assistance to absent students.
• Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
• Motivate students to participate in all aspects of the educational process actively.
• Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
• Maintain university standards regarding course activity, emails, grading, and communication with Instructional Mentor and students.
• Other duties as assigned.
