Job summary

University of Southern California seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach SLA 641X in an online synchronous format across a 15-week term. The instructor will draw on professional leadership experience to guide students in collaborative cultures that promote equity and inclusivity.

Responsibilities include creating content, assignments, grading, and ongoing student feedback while coordinating with the Program Administrator and SLA faculty advisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience at a public school site as district leader, principal, or superintendent.
• Hold a California Clear Administrative Credential.
• Desire for Doctorate in Education (Ed.D) or PhD; experience with teaching and learning and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction for SLA 641X in online synchronous setting over 15 weeks; one night per week, two hours.
• Prepare course content, presentations, handouts, and toolkits while ensuring copyright compliance.
• Maintain regular communication with students and monitor progress; assign tasks and final grades.
• Guide students in applying collaborative professionalism and strategies for equitable, inclusive outcomes.
• Report to Program Administrator and faculty advisor and align with mission and diversity commitments.
