Indiana Wesleyan University Online seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Data Analytics, GIS, and Research Methods for ICA-200/220/230. Courses focus on modern intelligence and crime analysis, including research design, statistics, GIS, and AI applications in data visualization and social network analysis.

You will lead hands-on GIS mapping, spatiotemporal analysis, and AI-assisted analytic workflows, assess bias in outputs, and integrate ethical stewardship with a Biblical worldview.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or master's in data science, statistics, GIS, or intelligence analysis (18 graduate hours).
• 3–5 years as Crime/Intelligence/Data Analyst with ArcGIS/QGIS and social network analysis tools.
• Advanced GIS, SPSS/R/Excel, and AI-assisted analytic workflows.
• Strong Christian commitment per IWU lifestyle statement.
• Experience teaching in higher education and online delivery tools.
• Proven ability to teach adult learners; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to diversity through leadership, teaching, or service.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in GIS for crime mapping and spatiotemporal analysis (ICA-220).
• Hands-on practice with spreadsheet, visualization, and network-analysis software (ICA-230).
• Teach foundational research design and statistical methods for intelligence (ICA-200).
• Evaluate student ability to mitigate bias in AI outputs.
• Integrate ethical stewardship and biblical worldview principles into the use of advanced technologies.
