Job summary

Abilities Abound Physical Therapy and Wellness Center in Callao, VA is seeking a dynamic Physical Therapist to join our growing, PT-owned outpatient practice. We emphasize one-on-one care in 45-minute appointments, evidence-based techniques, and a supportive, family-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Current state PT license (Compact license accepted).
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards, and techniques of Physical Therapy.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patients’ medical histories.
• Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns.
• Developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan.
• Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Recording patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care if needed.
• Educating patients and family members about the recovery process.
• Supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides.
