Job summary

Premier Charter School in Saint Louis is seeking caring paraprofessionals to work one-on-one or in small groups with students who have special needs. The paraprofessional would support the child with academics and social-emotional needs, and work with a team of teachers to determine best practice strategies.

The full-time, 10-month position runs 8am-3:30pm with pay starting at $19/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessionals are required to obtain 60 college credit hours or have passed the ParaPro Assessment before September 23, 2013 or after, to work under certified teachers.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a child who has special needs and assist in the regular classroom.
• Use strategies to help the child be successful in the learning environment.
• Collaborate with a team of educators to implement an individual education plan.
