Job summary

Founders Grove Classical Academy, part of Choice Schools Associates, seeks a teacher assistant to support the lead teacher and help build the school's culture and instructional team. You will reinforce instruction, provide one-on-one support, and help maintain a respectful learning environment.

The role includes assisting with student records, participating in policy development, and promoting the Academy within the community. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours); or obtain an associate’s degree (or higher); or meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment.
• Exemplary work habits verified by previous employers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in creating a positive and effective learning environment.
• Reinforce classroom instruction and provide one-on-one attention to students.
• Aid in classroom management and maintain orderly learning spaces.
• Share responsibility for marketing the Academy in the community.
• Participate in development of policies and regulations affecting instruction.

Education

Two years of higher education (60 semester hours) or associate’s degree
