Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking an Oncology Call Center Registered Nurse for our Nursing Services. The RN will triage oncology patient calls and provide education about treatment plans, chemotherapy, and surgeries from a clinical perspective.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, active RN license, and at least 1 year of oncology experience. This is a full-time position on a hybrid remote-friendly schedule at the TGH Main Campus in Tampa.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• Oncology nursing experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage oncology patient calls about symptoms, treatment questions, and logistics.
• Perform focused nursing assessments by phone/virtual
• Conduct follow-up outreach to reassess symptoms and reinforce education
• Document nursing assessments, triage decisions, interventions, and education in the EHR
• Maintain compliance with policies, confidentiality, and patient rights
• Ensure closed-loop communication with providers, patients, and outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as a clinical resource
• Maintain competencies and participate in ongoing oncology/triage development
