Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Med Surg Tele Oncology unit at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA.

The role involves coordinating nursing care for an oncology-focused 33-bed unit with telemetry monitoring and chemotherapy competency maintained through ONS certifications. The position requires MA RN licensure, BLS, and chemotherapy/biotherapy certification within a year of hire, with a commitment to vaccination as applicable.

Qualifications

• RN with oncology care experience preferred.
• Active RN license in Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification within 12 months of hire.
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients on the Med Surg Tele Oncology unit.
• Provide patient and family teaching and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to maintain care standards.
• Supervise and support nursing staff on the unit.
