Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: RN license required in hiring state and/or compact licensure for nursing duties.
• Physical requirements: Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking; ability to bend, kneel, twist and squat.
• Certifications: ACLS; BLS or course within 30 days of hire; other unit-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate overall effectiveness of care by direct care givers.
• Protect patient rights and confidentiality of information; uphold Mercy Service Standards.
