The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Clinical Director, and works in collaboration with the medical oncologist to provide oncology care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Nurse must be clinically competent and able to work in a self-directed and autonomous role. The Registered Nurse must effectively communicate and interact with patients, significant others, and other health care team members.
