Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking an experienced RN navigator in Quincy, IL, to guide patients and families through cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. You will coordinate care with physicians and a multidisciplinary oncology team while providing education, advocacy, and timely access to resources.

This full-time role emphasizes relationship-based care, education, and care coordination to improve patient outcomes and experience in a fast-paced outpatient oncology setting.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Previous patient navigation, care coordination, or ambulatory nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource and point of contact for patients and families throughout diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and survivorship.
• Identify barriers that affect care (clinical, education, psychosocial, financial, transportation).
• Coordinate appointments, testing, referrals, treatments, and follow-up across the care team.
• Provide education on diagnoses, treatment plans, symptom management, and survivorship.
• Document assessments and care coordination activities in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social services, and other oncology team members.
