Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse II to provide direct patient care in a hospital setting under general supervision, supporting diverse patient needs.

The RN II collaborates with physicians and the care team to implement care plans, document responses, and uphold nursing standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires ADN or BSN and active RN license in OK
• 3-5 years of patient care experience as an RN required
• BLS certification required at hire; specialty certs preferred

Responsibilities

• Aligns nursing practice with OU Health values and standards
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients
• Documents patient responses to interventions and treatments
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Monitors and interprets physiological data and intervenes as needed
• Administers medications as prescribed
• Manages IV infusions and blood products
• Delivers patient care with coaching and mentorship as needed
• Addresses patient concerns promptly and coordinates care with staff
• Communicates care plans with patients and families at discharge
• Escalates issues per policy and collaborates with the care team
• Performs other duties as assigned
