The unit operates 16 beds with a 1:4 patient ratio and offers nursing navigators, child life specialists, and a supportive care team. This is a full-time, dayshift opportunity designed for growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Min of 1 yr. Acute Care, Med Surg hospital RN experience
• Specialized field of study should be nursing
• RN license
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care using a professional practice model; assess patients and create care plans.
• Educate patients and families; empower learning and self-care.
• Delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies in line with the Texas Nursing Practice Act.
• Coordinate with Oncology team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Support continuity of care and participate in unit safety initiatives.
