Job summary

Asante is seeking an experienced oncology nurse in Grants Pass to provide compassionate cancer care within our Spears/Heimann Cancer Centers. You will perform nursing assessments, educate patients and families, and participate in triage in a fast-paced cancer center setting.

Requirements include RN licensure in Oregon, BLS upon start, and at least 1 year of nursing experience in inpatient or outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a fast paced and team environment (inpatient or outpatient).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or higher preferred.
• RN: Oregon State Board of Nursing licensure required at start.
• BLS: American Heart Association Basic Life Support required at start.
• Oncology Chemotherapy Immunotherapy course (ONS/ONCC) certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, educate patients and families, and triage within a cancer center setting.
• Provide chemotherapy education to promote regimen compliance.
• Develop and maintain compassionate, ongoing relationships with cancer patients.
