Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 4South Oncology/Cellular Therapy unit. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer and related conditions, performing chemo administration, pain management, and education.

The role requires California RN licensure, ACLS, and oncology certifications within defined timeframes. This unit emphasizes interdisciplinary care, patient education, and support for families in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN or higher preferred.
• California RN license required upon hire; ACLS certification required upon hire.
• Oncology/Transplant related certifications encouraged; required within six months of hire; CEUs annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide and accurately document direct and indirect patient care services that ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely manner.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care.
• Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy and initiation of peripheral venous access.
• Observe and assess signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and initiate emergency procedures when indicated.
• Plan and implement individualized patient care based on observations; report and refer as per procedures while caring for diverse patient populations.
