Job summary

Qualifications

• Maintain 10 contact hours of education every two years.
• Membership in a professional organization preferred.
• Recent clinical experience in a comparable setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides independent care to unit-specific patient populations and serves as a clinical resource.
• Acts as the primary coordinating nurse and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Supports charge nurse decisions and follows Healthy Work Environment guidelines.
• Develops and implements unit-based clinical practice protocols and governance activities.
• Precepts, coaches, and mentors new nurses and students.
