Job summary

CHI in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care and perform critical assessments within an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience upon hire.
  • Texas RN license upon hire.
  • CPR within 14 days of hire.
  • Competence in RN I performance expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide holistic nursing care.
  • Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with patient/family education.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and administer physician orders.
  • Reassess patient responses and adjust care as needed.
  • Communicate updates to physicians and provide thorough handoffs.
  • Maintain a safe environment and contribute to quality initiatives.

  • Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive assessments, provide holistic nursing care, and notify physicians of significant changes.
  • Care Planning & Coordination: Develop, direct, and evaluate individualized care plans, including patient/family education and discharge planning, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Treatment Implementation: Prepare patients for procedures, implement physician orders, and ensure patient safety protocols, including medication administration.
  • Ongoing Evaluation & Adjustment: Regularly reassess patient responses to interventions, adapt care to changing needs, and communicate with physicians for modifications.
  • Effective Communication & Handoffs: Use Bedside Shift Report, provide thorough patient updates, and delegate tasks for seamless care transitions.
  • Safety & Quality Assurance: Maintain a safe patient and work environment, promptly address hazards, and actively contribute to quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.

Job Requirements
