Job summary

Amergis is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for travel assignments across hospitals and outpatient centers in the United States. You will evaluate, plan, implement and document oncology nursing care, assist with surgery prep and coordinate cancer treatments.

In outpatient settings you’ll support chemotherapy/infusion administration, monitor vitals, side effects and pain, and educate patients. Travel and scheduling vary by contract.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state practicing.
• One year of oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Oncology Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, implements and documents nursing care for the oncology patient population. The Oncology Registered Nurse works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patients receive cancer treatments. In hospital settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse assists with surgery prep, patient education and coordination of their cancer treatments. In outpatient care center settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse typically helps with treatments such as chemotherapy and infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current RN license in state practicing

• One (1) year of experience in oncology nursing preferred

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
