Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4South Oncology/Cellular Therapy/Hospice unit. You’ll provide comprehensive nursing care, participate in interprofessional planning, and support patients with complex diagnoses including cancer and palliative needs.

The role emphasizes safety, education, chemotherapy administration, and adherence to standardized procedures across diverse patient populations within a Magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN or higher preferred.
• Current California RN license required on hire.
• ACLS certification required on hire; oncology certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document direct and indirect patient care ensuring safety, comfort, hygiene, and timely service.
• Deliver patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents per treatment plan.
• Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiation of peripheral venous access.
• Observe illness signs, medication responses, and initiate emergency procedures when needed.
• Plan and implement individualized care with coordinated team communication.
