Job summary

Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. Under general supervision, you will provide professional nursing care for patients, adhering to national and company standards for oncology.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient/family needs, administer therapies, and maintain high standards of patient safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced oncology clinic environment.

Qualifications

• RN state license and current registration with the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred 1 year in Oncology.
• BSN Preferred.
• Must maintain continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care according to established standards.
• Assess health status by interviewing patients and reviewing medical history.
• Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision, including medications and blood products.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
• Manage patient medication refill requests and ensure appropriate charting.
• Triages patient phone calls and coordinates consultations and tests as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and provide nurse coverage for satellite offices.
• Participate in professional development to stay current in oncology nursing.
