Job summary

OneOncology is seeking a Sr. RCM Coding Coordinator to lead coding department administrative functions, support operational initiatives, and assist with data analysis and reporting.

This role partners closely with Coding Leadership to develop and maintain departmental documentation, facilitate team communications, support coding system access management, and assist with data analysis and reporting activities.

Qualifications

• CPC-A, CPC, CCS-P or other coding certification required.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance payer guidelines and medical policies.
• Knowledge of ICD10, CPT and HCPCS codes required.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years of coding experience required.
• Medical Oncology coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update provider and practice risk-monitoring tools and reports, including bell curve analyses and other coding performance trend reports.
• Assist with the development, review, maintenance, and implementation of coding department policies, procedures, workflows, educational materials, presentations, and SOPs.
• Assist with onboarding activities to facilitate coding system, application access, and coding resource requests for coding team members.
• Conduct coding, billing, payer policy, and regulatory research and communicate findings to Coding Leadership.
• Support Coding Roundtable meetings by coordinating agendas, tracking discussion topics, documenting action items, and facilitating follow-up activities.
• Review, maintain, and update the Coding Department SharePoint site to ensure content remains current, accurate, and accessible.
• Collaborate and maintain open communication with Coding Leadership and necessary stakeholders, to identify trends, operational challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support organizational initiatives and projects related to coding operations, compliance, education, and process improvement.
• Other duties as assigned to support the mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
