Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa seeks an Oncology Pharmacy Technician Coordinator. Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will perform tasks from communications with patient care teams to processing treatment orders and managing inventories.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; 4 years hospital technician experience acceptable in lieu.
• Must hold Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) or CPHT; within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to learn pharmacy software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with pharmacists, providers and patients to support care.
• Review patient appointments, medical records and treatment authorizations.
• Process treatment orders, including investigational medications, per CFR and GCP.
• Assist in compounding, preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical preparations.
• Support inventory management and reporting, ensuring compliance.
