Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a pharmacist leader to oversee clinical and operational aspects of the hematology/oncology clinic pharmacy. You will dispense medications, counsel patients, monitor therapy, and ensure safe, efficacious, and cost-effective treatment in collaboration with providers.

Responsibilities include coordinating IV admixture, interpreting orders in EMR, supervising staff, and driving quality initiatives in adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy and upon hire
• Requires 2 years oncology or infusion pharmacy experience or 5 years of pharmacy experience in lieu of Board Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational oversight of hematology/oncology clinic pharmacy operations
• Counsel patients and monitor drug therapy for safety and efficacy
• Oversee IV admixture, order interpretation, and dispensing in accordance with state and board regulations
• Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure cost-effective medication therapy and optimal outcomes
• Lead and train pharmacy staff, and participate in quality improvement, ADR, and P&T activities
